MATERIAL, APPEARANCE AND FINISH

Made from wood, this compact feeder has a traditional house-shaped design with a pitched roof and a rectangular feeding tray. Light tan surfaces contrast with dark brown, almost black markings, creating a rustic scorched appearance.

The roof sits above the tray on upright wooden supports. Horizontal rails run along the sides, and the raised tray border helps keep loose food within the feeding area. A dark hanging cord passes through the top of the roof.

The roof provides overhead cover, although wind-driven rain can still reach the open tray.

CARE AND USE

Choose a secure position with a clear approach for birds and away from places where predators can hide. If hanging the feeder, check that the support is suitable and the cord is securely attached.

Use food suitable for wild birds. Add manageable quantities and remove wet or spoiled food promptly. Empty and clean the tray regularly, rinse thoroughly and allow it to dry before refilling.

Check the cord, wooden parts and fixings periodically. Avoid prolonged soaking or leaving the feeder standing in water.
